Collections Care Day 1: Vintage Clothing, at the Glendora Museum

The Museum is closed the month of August in order to clean out and redesign one of the major display cases. Special cleaning and care needs to be given to our Glendora treasures. Come spend time behind the scenes with museum staff and volunteers to learn collections care and maintenance.

Day 1: Vintage Clothing - Textiles are sensitive to stretching and fading due to prolonged exposure to light and hanging. They are also prone to attack by pests such as moths. Come help us with much-needed cleaning and storage of our vintage clothing. You will be trained on the cleaning, packing and storing of clothing and textiles.

It is important work and it is fun! We will train you how to do this! Plus, you can use these techniques at home for your own family heirlooms.
